O our Mother the Earth,
\nO our Father the Sky,
\nYour children are we, and with tired backs,
\nWe bring you the gifts you love.
\nThen weave for us a garment of brightness;
\nMay the warp be the white light of morning,
\nMay the weft be the red light of evening,
\nMay the fringes be the falling rain, May the border be the standing rainbow.
\nThus weave for us a garment of brightness,
\nThat we may walk fittingly where birds sing,
\nThat we may walk fittingly where grass is green,
\nO our Mother the Earth,
